There's a quiet peace in the presence of plants. When the weather is kind, I sit in stillness on the deck, meditating, and letting the breeze carry my thoughts away. I'm slowly filling my stand with more bonsai-each one a small universe to reflect upon. I had the idea to shape a single Monstera leaf into bonsai form. A leisurely hike through the dunes along the coastline near IJmuiden, reminiscent of the good times I had growing up in the area. The comforting sound of the sea, combined with the salty smell and the view of sandy hills and the comforting green of the sea oats, makes it special.
