@neildarlow Sounds like they did last. 12 years is a very long time in the vps business.
My recommendation is to find a cheap dedicated server host, install proxmox and host your own VPS.
Yeah it costs more money but you can find them cheap in the $40-$60 range at #hetzner on their auction servers.
Or… you could just get a VPS from them..

Bei #Hosteurope herrscht offenbar ein ziemlich hoher Lackkonsum. Ich höre gerade von einem Kunden, dass die ernsthaft und trotz der Entwicklungen in den USA Email zwangsweise auf #Microsoft365 umstellen. Dem entgehen kann man als Kunde nur durch Löschen der Emailkonten, also de facto Beenden der Geschäftsbeziehung (was der Kunde [KMU] auch tun wird). #Hetzner beispielsweise bietet schon Migrationspfade dafür, aber sind halt "ein paar" Adressen.
Un-fucking-fassbar.

iCloud storage replacement - works.
iCloud Photo replacement - works.
Full control over my own data and media? Yes, please!
looks like #hetzner mastodon instance blocked weirder.earth .. perhaps because of posted animation of two girls kissing?
also looking at their tos, indeed:
"obscene material, extremist content or content that offends common decency, gambling, material that could seriously endanger the morals of children or young people"
is a wide net that can get your account terminated immediately, and possibly without any communication (like in case of kiwix )
are photos of our theatre shows that sometimes show lots of skin offending common decency? who can tell?
meanwhile... they host AfD.

Das ist ja cool. Schön das ihr im #Fediverse seit. Ich persönlich bin seit Ende März #Storageshare Kunde und es läuft alles geschmeidig.

Ok wtf, I set up a Hetzner account today as I was considering setting up a #nextcloud server and maybe some other stuff but a few hours later I got an email saying that they noticed irregularities with my account and just deleted it. No possibility to get information on what I did wrong, they just straight up won't talk to me.
Don't fucking use #hetzner I guess

@WildPowerHammer , #xmpp - это отдельная #боль , даже без #UnifiedPush. 96.5% всех xmpp-серверов на хостинге #Hetzner - что полюбил "подбанивать" #РКН. Если Hetzner не у вас, то может быть у знакомого(-ых), из-за чего на нём/них может быть ошибочный статус "офлайн"; невозможность загрузить медиа от таких юзеров. Это будет справедливо и для вас, только вы ещё не всегда сможете проходить капчу на xmpp-серверах на Hetzner (и другие причуды, если речь об #РФ.) И это ещё не весь список.
Даже если "открестились" от Хецнера, то либо у вас падучая #Prosody , но зато вашу аватарку (по факту) видите не только вы, или вы на старом добром #Ejabberd (версии >20), но тогда свою аву видите только вы.

Did they censor or didn't they #censor? That is the question. For wether it is nobler in the mind to oppose great network traffic, and by opposing, end the user agreement without so much as a "how's your father".
This is honestly imho a service contract and consumer issue. For Hetzner to pull services without any due process is unacceptable.

El caso de #Hetzner en Mastodon es un buen ejemplo de lo mal que te pueden salir las cosas si no entiendes la cultura de la red en la que vas a tener presencia corporativa 
Nachdem bei mir nun seit Wochen die Explorer-Einbindung geteilter Ordner bei OneDrive nicht funktioniert hat, habe ich es heute Morgen noch einmal probiert. Ging nicht. Manche haben das Problem seit 9 Monaten.
Gerade eben habe ich entnervt 5 GB Storage Share Managed Nextcloud bei Hetzner gebucht und eingerichtet.
Dann wechsle in den OneDrive-Ordner, um erste Daten umzuziehen bzw. erst mal rüberzukopieren. Und was sehen ich: Es funktioniert wieder bei OneDrive!
Egal, das macht den Umzug nun trotzdem wesentlich leichter. Und Microsoft vertraue ich nicht mehr bei meinen Daten.
Ich hatte zudem in letzter Zeit regelmäßige Synchronisationsprobleme bei Microsoft. Meinen Ordner deshalb neu herunterzuladen hat über 6 Tage gedauert, weil "wegen zu hoher Dienstaktivität" dauernd wieder nicht mehr synchronisiert wurde.
