Hi folks in the UK:

I have a lactose sensitivity and am looking to switch to a lactose free milk, but preferably still cows milk. I know this exists as I've had it in South Africa, but wondered if anyone had recommendations for good brands and/or places to get them that are relatively reliable and don't taste abominable.

While I know there are milk alternatives available, and I'll try them if this doesn't work, I figure it's always safer and better to ask than to suffer in silence.

Any advice is sincerely appreciated.

Me: Hmm, okay.

Me: Are you positive there's no dairy in this?
Partner: No, it's just flour, sugar, eggs, cocoa, margarine, a can of sweetened condensed milk...
Me:
Partner: Ok, there's some dairy in it.

I made my boozy Xmas cake tonight. I posted the recipe last year. It’s #gluten and #lactose free.
