last weekend i found a photograph of the treehouse i painted for MÄANDER (published by @hatjecantzverlag) in the @cabinporn book
it’s taken from a different angle but you can clearly recognize it. i would like to underline that i am sitting on the shoulders of giants: my paintings are often reworks of the existing works by other artists, like this example shows. i collect, recompose, collage and through recombination and putting the sujets in a new context, awake new associations and create something else.

the publication MEANDER by the painter moki @mioke.de brings together paintings from 2014-2023 with poetic and scientific texts by Bus126 @chezbuselle, Marianna Andrly @andrly, Merlin Sheldrake @merlin.sheldrake, Lina Josefina Lindqvist @linapeanut, Andreas Weber @frankandreasweber, Zhuangzi, Dogen, Walter Benjamin
To be like water, without form, able to adapt to all circumstances—this is the ideal of the Berlin-based artist moki. In her paintings, she meanders between timeless escapism and confrontation with the issues of our time. Fiction and reality are blurred in her detailed acrylic paintings. Like a researcher, she explores the subtleties of color in the green-blue spectrum and creates her own cosmos in which the longing for symbiosis becomes visible.
Visual artist moki has been participating in international exhibitions since 2004. The focus of her work is painting. She also works with various media. She has received several awards for her graphic novels & children’s books.
