Ich möchte einmal mehr erwähnen, wie toll doch die #mastodon Software #mona #apple für Mac OS, aber auch für #iphone und #ipad ist.

Man muss nicht monatlich oder jährlich zahlen, sondern nur ein einziges Mal. Und auch nur für die Apps (und Geräte) welche man tatsächlich nutzt. Das ist sehr fair ...

MONA Museum's current exhibition, Name Dropping, ends next month, so we went out today to check it out. It was an amazing mix of art and well worth the trip (though MONA is our favourite museum, so we may be biased). I've tried to name the art in the alt-text for each image.

I realised I missed the name of this piece of art. It's a gambling table set up under overhead lights. The surface of the table is green felt. There are leather chairs around it. A pile of chips has been set up on the table.

Dropping a Han Dynasty Urn, by Ai Weiwei (1995). This is a series of three large black-and-white photographs depicting a sequence of a man dropping a vase. In the first image, they are holding it. In the second image, the vase is falling. In the third image, the vase is broken at their feet.

Armour of Triumph, by Wang Lei (2012). This is a traditional suit of armour woven from old newspapers and with a steel frame. Numerous cutouts of images from the newspapers hang from threads from the armour.

McDonald's, by Li Lihong (2007). This is a blue and white porcelain sculpture in the shape of the iconic McDonald's arches. The surface has a print of clouds and dragons.

Question for users of @MonaApp on the #Mac(!).

Is there a way to deactive the right window pane of the app? I really like #Mona, but I want to use it like on the iPhone. I don't need that pane. Actually, it makes the app to big for it to permanently reside opend on my screen.

Yes, I could move Mona further to the right, but then I'd have to move it back whenever I want to see a thread/replies.

Didn't find anything in the settings.

Screenshot of Mona on the Mac. The main part (on the left) shows the time. On the right side is an attached pane that fills with content, once one clicks on one of the posts on the timeline to see the whole thread and/or replies.

Installed the #mona app this morning to test the waters, #ivory is definitely my measuring stick for third party apps, but I’m optimistic about this one.

@MonaApp @IceCubesApp That being said, I’m not so happy with how boosts look in #Mona. They kind of look like quotes, which they’re not.

Kind of strange there isn’t an option to change that, considering how customisable the app is.

I’m not sure what’s up with this, but I just tried to create a poll using #Mona and was unsuccessful. I figured out how to add choices okay, but when I entered on “add poll” it asked if I wanted to remove it and didn’t give me an option to add. Very strange, but until I figure this out no polls from me, I guess.
