#TIL: #Optography actually works!

An #optogram is an image of the retina that shows the last thing the eye has ever seen – for example the face of one’s #murderer. I always thought it was a myth, but, no, it’s actually a thing.

The only reason why it doesn’t work as a tool in #forensics is the fact that you have to take a #murder victim’s optogram so quickly after their death that the ‘optographer’ would have been an eye witness anyway.

The legal language employed by fetal personhood also effectively categorizes any person receiving an abortion at any stage as a #murderer.

and even used to limit access to forms of #birth #control.
In May, the Texas GOP attempted to transform fetal personhood into law, claiming that “abortion is not healthcare, it is homicide,”
and called on lawmakers to extend “equal protection of the laws to all preborn children from the moment of fertilization"

At a carol Service yesterday I heard that Carol had died. I had last chatted to her about two months ago. We often saw each other in the church yard while respectively putting flowers on our loved ones graves. I knew she was terminally ill, but still feel so sad. Her story was tragic, her daughter and grandchildren murdered by their husband/father. Their graves are in the churchyard. He is trying to get out of prison.
