They've removed all the pins I requested, and also let me know they have a Content Claiming Portal, which enables artists to find copies of their copyrighted work on Pinterest ⚠
I had no idea this feature existed! Sounds a whole lot easier than trying to hunt down all the offending pins manually.

If you want to request for your artwork to be removed from Pinterest so it can't be used to train their AI, feel free to copy & adapt this text of the email I've sent to them: docs.google.com/document/d/1L8

They acknowledged my request and asked for confirmation that I really, really want all the pinned images deleted. I'm still waiting for the pins to be actually gone.

The process may be faster if you have an account with claimed domains, but it's not required.

The A.I. bubble has gotten to a point where it's managed to tick off just about everyone, from the tech folk of Fedi to their crochet-loving grandmas. Generative slop has poisoned the well for any A.I. at all.
