Preston railway station is quite remarkable. The far reaching south vista is completely exposed when the sun decides to shine which contrasts perfectly with the complex and bitty north edge. The various ledges, pillars, arches, wires and tubes, each with their accompanying shadow, make a mesh of desirable form or undesirable clutter. In either philosophy, the station flourishes in its incognisance.
