Proliferative diabetic retinopathy

In proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR), neovascularization elsewhere (NVE) refers to abnormal blood vessel growth in the midperiphery or periphery of the retina. The green channel enhances contrast, making NVE more visible against the retinal background. Identifying NVE early is crucial for guiding treatment, such as panretinal photocoagulation (PRP) or anti-VEGF therapy, to prevent complications like vitreous hemorrhage. #PDR

Diabetic retinopathy: ERM following PRP

In proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR), panretinal photocoagulation (PRP) is a standard treatment to reduce neovascularization and prevent vision loss. However, PRP may contribute to the formation of an epiretinal membrane (ERM) due to retinal inflammation and scarring. ERM can cause visual distortion and may require surgical peeling if it significantly impacts vision. #PDR #PanretinalPhotocoagulation #PRP

PDR: Tractional retinal detachment

Tractional retinal detachment in proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) often accompanies severe macular ischemia. Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA) is crucial for evaluating the extent of ischemia by visualizing areas of capillary dropout and non-perfusion. This detailed imaging assists in planning surgical intervention and assessing prognosis. #PDR #TractionalRetinalDetachment #MacularIschemia #OCTA #RetinaImaging

PDR: Tractional retinal detachment

Tractional retinal detachment in proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) can lead to noticeable retinal displacement. Fundus autofluorescence (FAF) imaging can reveal this displacement through the shift in the position of retinal vessels. This imaging technique helps in assessing the extent of retinal displacement and planning appropriate surgical intervention. #PDR #TractionalRetinalDetachment #RetinaDisplacement #FAF #RetinaImaging

PDR: Persistent neovessels

Proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) with persistent neovessels despite panretinal photocoagulation (PRP) and anti-VEGF treatment poses a significant challenge. Continuous neovascularization indicates aggressive disease and may require additional or alternative therapeutic approaches, such as surgical intervention like vitrectomy to manage complications and preserve vision. #PDR #PersistentNeovessels #PRP #AntiVEGF #DiabeticRetinopathy

Searching for a #pdr reader on #android.
I use Adobe Reader on my phone and tablet too read local files and shut down its network access. Because I simply don't need it. It asks for it every time I open the app. (Sometimes even when I simply switch from and to it.)
What are good alternative? I'd like to have a functional ui, night mode, table of contents, search and recent files. Having multiple open docs would be a killer feature (not holding my breath). Know any? Free/OSS is better.
