This bag is actually a little bit too big to fit under a US airline seat, so I've already bought a Travelpro Platinum Elite Regional Carry-on Rollaboard to replace it for actual #travel, and have been searching for a justification to keep this bag (other than taking it on #Amtrak, where the size restriction isn't a problem). It will also make a good gig bag for local gigs with my #bass #guitar and #pedalboard, if that ever happens again.

🤘😄

I am very upset about this, because there are certain tc electronic pedals which I believe are best in class for performance, price, size, and availability.

Specifically:
SpectraComp bass compressor
Impulse IR loader
Ditto+ looper
Spark mini booster
HOF mini reverb

Some of these I own (BodyRez, SpectraComp, Spark mini, HOF mini, Ditto), others I had planned to buy (the Impulse and Ditto+) to build this new version of my #bass fly rig #pedalboard:

Here's an early stage of an early #DIY -#pedalboard- err, portable desk top? for the #TwistedElectrons #drumMachine and #synthesizers.

Not yet included is the TherapSID as the sound chips are not installed. lol. One day I'll buy the final revision and add it to a real board.

Outside the frame is the #OXIinstruments One #sequencer. That came with a nice case so, I'll leave it in there for now.

Again, I need a better power solution. I need more gear altogether! lol

Mon pedalboard....

METSÄÄN - OURBOROS AUTOPOIESIS - extreme EFX chain feedback looper

A feedback looper that squeezes the extreme out of your EFX-chain. Perfect for 'Tone scouts', sound-designers and those who like harsh noises. An extended version of the Death by Audio - Total Sonic Annihilation 2 pedal, the METSÄÄN version has a 3 stage MODE selector that switched between 'vanilla'/ORIGINAL and boosted HIGHS or LOWS, which exponentially enhances the sonic possibilities of the original pedal and allows for dynamic frequency shifts in a harsh noise live performance, for example. But this pedal is not just god for harsh noises, but also for subtle tone experimentation, imagine a sound modulator like a delay or tremolo modulating itself in a loop. wonderful textures and abstract saturation might occur. Sometimes, you might get not much out of it and with other set-ups a plethora of unexpected sonic gems. With some EFX chain set-ups an input signal is not needed, as you can generate no-input noise scapes. A experimental sound artist's treasure trove/ pandorra's box. This feedback looper enables you to send the output of your EFX-chain back into it's input, in NORMAL mode, you control the the amount with only the FEEDBACK (Note: this pot works counterclockwise) pot, but in the ACTIVE (indicated by a ultraviolet LED) mode you get hands-on control of GAIN, FEEDBACK, PHASE, FREQUENCY MODE and of course final OUTPUT LEVEL (to tame the potentially destructively loud signal.). The 4x 6.3mm mono sockets on the back side of the pedal are from left to right (when pointing away from you): OUTPUT, RETURN, SEND, INPUT. When the TRUE BYPASS (indicated with a green LED) is engaged, your signal still goes through your EFX-chain in the loop. The Power input is for 'boss-style', center negative 2.1mm DC plugs, that are pretty standard for EFX-pedals it needs 9V DC (PSU not included). Build into a standard die-cast aluminum enclosure individually painted in the the burned out industry camo pattern in chrome and black. Handmade by GRM for METSÄÄN.

DEMO VIDEO follows. Stay detuned.

The new Ditto 2 #looper pedal from tc electronic they are showing at #NAMM2025 looks pretty interesting, but I'm going to wait for better demos than the show floor before I decide whether it's better for me than the Ditto+ that came out a couple of years ago, to upgrade my original Ditto (that I only use for practice and songwriting, never for performance). #bass #guitar #pedalboard

My answer to That Pedal Show's new "Compact Wet/Dry Rig Challenge":

Board is 380 x 280 mm to fit an airline underseat personal item (TheGigRig GenX14 power supply goes underneath). The Peterson StroboStomp HD tuner is separate from the #pedalboard, as is my preference.

DSM & Humboldt Electronics Simplfier X, Silver Linings, and Black Clouds; Digitech FreqOut and Nautila; Boss DD-8; TheGigRig Humdinger.

This can be used with two 1x12 combos and/or direct to PA, simultaneously.
