InstagramHoward G. Smith MD, AM on Instagram: "Blue Ridge Beef Puppy Mix and Kitten Mix Have Bacterial Contamination These pet foods have contamination with salmonella and listeria and create health risks to animals and humans. Both bacteria cause infections in the very young, elders, and those with suppressed immunity. The affected lot numbers are N25 1230 for Puppy Mix and N26 0114 for Kitten Mix. These pet foods were sold primarily in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York State, Tennessee, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin between January 3 and January 24, 2025. This shithole country let people buy and feed their baby pets tainted products for almost two weeks. This is disgraceful.

“Due to a customer complaint of animal illness, samples of the products were collected on 3/20/25 by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets. On 04/01/25, the firm was notified by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture that the products tested positive for Salmonella and Listeria.”

Got these bones from our local butcher after I purchased a few things.

Cooking it for #Mellie and will use the broth for myself when making stew or soup.

Each of them would be at least 5 euros if I bought them from the pet store (dried, not fresh). But I get them for free and it makes Mellie happy and busy for a few days (I give her half of each piece once a week or so)..
