Hottest day of the year (so far) and my right hand is absolutely shut down with Raynauds! How is this possible?!?

No sé qué pasó pq estoy posteando poco y escribiendo menos, pero la semana pasada el #blog tuvo una barbaridad de visitas.
A los seguidores y a los que distéis con él por casualidad, #GRACIAS

Well, of course posties can get #Raynauds disease too and may have to come in and lie on the floor clenching their teeth and vocal chords while they warm up while feeling returns and nausea subsides at this time of year so they’re safe to drive again. What do you actually expect? Trouble is, now their movements are being tracked by GPS.

And ogres. Ogres have layers.

Så var det #raynauds säsong igen. Någon som vet om hög höjd och tunn luft eventuellt förvärrar? Hhmm https://www.rei.com/blog/snowsports/numb-fingers-and-toes-its-not-frostbite-but-raynauds-can-still-be-a-pain-to-deal-with
It's also amusing to see how many co-morbidities there are between stuff I have, am suspected to have and ADHD. Like hypermobility. I might have #raynauds , low magnesium which I figured out I have before I figured out I'd ADHD. I also suffer low sodium which is also an ADHD thing. Like seriously. I'm making a list of stuff for my appointment in July and it's just like I'm listing out symptoms of it but in a really weird and chaotic fashion.
Any fellow Raynaud's syndrome sufferers out there in the Fediverse?
There's some good news that snuck by me last year. Someone actually looked at our problem and might have found the genes involved. I absolutely did not expect to see that in my lifetime, but I'll take it!
I finally got rid of that chill! It only took my makeshift electric-oil-heater-with-a-pillow-on-it-and-a-blanket-over-it kotatsu and a heating pad about 3 hours to do it.
I swear. If I’m not dying of heat from hot flashes, I’m freezing from Raynaud’s.
I wish I could direct the heat from a hot flash to my feet
Arctic air can fuck all the way off!
Oh, the joy of having a Raynaud’s attack in my toes while simultaneously having a hot flash!
How can my toes feel like icicles while there is a furnace in my head?!
You’d think they’d cancel each other out. Sadly, you’d be wrong.
PSA: if you have Raynaud’s Syndrome, #Raynauds, then you have dysautonomia — it’s a form a #dysautonomia
New research: “Raynaud’s syndrome is a common dysautonomia where exposure to cold increases the vascular tone of distal arteries causing vasoconstriction and hypoxia particularly in the extremities. Our results indicate that Raynaud’s syndrome is related to vascular function mediated by adrenergic signaling through ADRA2A.“

Question for #disabled/chronically ill Mastodon folk with conditions that cause issues with cold e.g. #dysautonomia, #raynauds ... I've been doing more swimming and aquafit (good for me in many ways!) but I'm seriously struggling with cold recently. Warming up after swimming is taking *hours*. Are those long-sleeved swimming costumes any good? Anyone found any other solutions? #disability [ETA: I swim in an indoor pool, not wild swimming. My cold intolerance is pretty bad!]
Great news for those like me who have Raynaud's disease, the genes responsible have been found. #raynauds
Stupid Raynauds. Can't get warm today, especially my foot with my bandage toe.
Huh, I’m so cold that I had a Raynaud’s attack. Normally it’s only the tips of fingers but it was the side of one of the fingers. Strange. Just starting to get feeling back.
I used to love the changing of the seasons. I would put away Winter’s clothes and usher in Spring’s finery.
Now I’m unable to do 1/4 of it without becoming exhausted. I’m looking for others struggling too. #StrongerTogether #Dysautonomia #POTS
