I spotted this #CommonMerganser couple on my #morningWalk and tried to quietly approach and catch them floating into frame. Then I thought- video! And they must have heard my mental outburst!

We’ve been calling the newer dog a #lurcher based on a number of physical and behavioural traits but without any hard evidence. On this evening’s walk by the #rideauRiver she clocked some geese and broke into a full double-suspension gallop to pursue them. I’ve seen her run FAST before…but nothing like that. Definitely some Sighthound in that genetic makeup.
