Took the new #altra Torin 8 for another test #run. 10 km a little faster than usual through the woods. Still have problems with my feet in them. Left felt okay, a little pressure round the heel. Right went a little numb with a tingly sensation (like little needles? Ants? Don't know how to say that in English. In German it would be "fühlte sich an wie eingeschlafen"). Maybe I laced them too tight? Will give them another try next time.

Penultimate #tracktuesday workout of the block and one of my favourites. 4 reps of 1.5 miles at half marathon pace with 800m recovery between reps. It's a favourite because the number of reps is lower than the 6x1 mile workout, but the distance isn't as taking as the 2 mile and 3 mile workouts.

The railway path was quieter than I expected given that it is the school holidays. Spotted 3 cats, as well as a rat and a squirrel feasting on seeds left out for the birds.

A glorious day, so the railway path was filled with runners, walkers, cyclists, dogs and cats for my final big long run. 16 miles at a smidge under 3:30 marathon pace, with an extra mile split into a marginally slower warm up and cool down.

All good, glad of the water fountain between Warmley & Bitton stations for a refill. Served as a nice simulation, plus a bit of warm weather training. 66.57 miles (107.14km) run in the week, including 6 miles at half marathon pace, 10 miles at 3:19 marathon pace, and 16 miles at 3:29 marathon pace, with 3 runs of at least 12 miles. 3 weeks to go.

A slightly different #parkrunsandwich this morning as it had no #parkrun in it as I was on run director duties. It looked lovely, but there was a brutally cold wind that chilled us all during our volunteering, and turned out to be a headwind all the way home.

Hello, hello, Fediverse. Day 40 of #The100DayProject is upon us, and my 21k training saga continues. Today was a bit more demanding, 45 minute tempo run. 10 minutes easy pace warmup, 20 minutes at a hard but sustainable pace, and 15 minutes gradual deceleration cooldown. Slowly starting to feel stronger while keeping a more demanding pace, which is a good sign my body is adapting well to the gradual load increase 🤘🏻😉👍🏻
