I missed this a while back. The survey is over and I can't quickly find information about what is being considered, but fixing safety at Meade and East Market has been an important priority in the #cville area for many years, combining high traffic, a large elementary school, and one of the most popular recreational destinations in the region. Congratulations to Kat Selm, Rossanna Guerra, and Dan Weikel, the newest members of the Thousand Oaks Traffic and Transportation Advisory Commission!

The panel has an eventful year ahead, including a review of the annual crossing guard survey (likely in late May) and a major revision of the city’s Active Transportation Plan.

Congratulations too to Brendan Callahan and Lawrence Imel on their selection as TTAC chair and vice chair. Last but certainly not least, I want to thank three outgoing commissioners – Victor Hayek, Ashley Orozco, and Drew Pletcher – for their years of public service on the TTAC.

#KingstonNY (pop. 25k) started a traffic enforcement unit after the mayor was bombarded with complaints about psychotic drivers at town hall meetings in all 9 wards. The unit issued EIGHT HUNDRED tickets in its first two months of operation. Sadly, I don't think it has made any difference in driver behavior yet.
