The #unitedstates really sucks for long term #nomad travel. I have to be back in the US due to work no longer allowing me to #remotework abroad and I'm trying to plan a route. I thought a good idea would be to take the #amtrack up the east coast bit by bit, but no where has hostels or any kind of non-expensive lodging that isn't car centric (#fuckcars) - and I don't have a car.

I suppose that I can look more in to #couchsurfing. I downloaded the app for a bit to take a look around, but I lean more to the people and events you get in hostels. Of course, you can make great interactions with people couch surfing as well.

I may also have to only stay for a few days in places until I get to a city large enough to have some kind of shared, less expensive housing. It really is frustrating. I spent a year and a half in #latinamerica and there was no shortage of #hostel dorms and cheap options for room and board. The US? Nah, fork over $150 per night. Breakfast not included. I feel like that could be the catch phrase of the US, or a good blog title .
