Dieses Frühjahr geht es den #Seen Radweg von #Lüneburg nach #Waren dann kurz den #berlinkopenhagenradweg nach #Warnemünde und dann den #Ostseeradweg nach #Stralsund, um dann den #BerlinUsedomradweg nach #potsdam und den #havelradweg Richtung nach Hause zu radeln.
Mein Sonnenschein und ich können es gar nicht mehr abwarten.

I found this post about mastodon on Mastodon(!) Mastodon were cousins to elephants & wooly mammouth, and lived among hoo-mans 13K years ago (relatively recently). NY state is home to 150 mastodon fossil discoveries, w/ 1/3 in Orange County, where these teeth etc were found.

A second clerk, who helpfully told me what buttons to push on the display to promise that I was mailing safe packages, and explained how the Postal Service took care of packages with liquids or batteries (ground transport, not by plane), and calmly explained the catastrophic events that could take place if someone secretly mailed batteries by plane. I asked if people often pushed the wrong button. "All the time," he said and added with a smile, "I can fix it from back here."

Seen yesterday at a post office in #Maine:
A clerk with a strong Slavic accent growing sterner and sterner with her "Ma'am. Ma'am. Ma'am!" to a customer who wished to overnight a package and was delightedly filling out her own label and not the special form that the clerk was brandishing at her from behind the counter. The customer finally understood, and the clerk's approval was still stern but utterly delightful to witness.
