Now that I have reached my goal of 10mm in my septum, I am left thinking "Dare I go bigger? Was my goal not ambitious enough? Dare I go to 12mm? Where does the madness end???"

Well, somehow I managed to get the 10mm plug in to my septum hole. That is a full 1mm jump, which I have never done before. They say if it goes in, it was ready, so I guess it was ready! It's very sore, but not in pain. I expect nose drippies, but hopefully not as bad when I taped the 9mm.
It's just glass, no tape. We'll see! I'll keep my 9mm handy in case it drives me crazy.

I made a stainless steel tunnel at work, complete with grooves to hold a rubber ring at both ends! It is 9.5mm wide, so it should replace he lost glass plug.
I will in all likelihood end up hurting myself, but we shall see!!

My septum is at 9mm and I'm already starting to think 10mm (my goal size) is too small

My problem is I can't leave well enough alone. For example, earlier this week I tooted "9mm" which OF COURSE everyone knew was me sizing up my septum to a laughable 9mm. But as usual I touch and fidget and can't leave it alone, which irritated it, and I'm back down to 8.5mm while it heals up so I can put 9 back in. I never learn.

Apparently after 8mm, that's the point of no return for stretching holes. In other words, my septum hole, now at 8.5mm (going to 10mm!!!), will likely never fully close. And that's okay!

So I just (Sunday) upgraded my septum from 7mm to 7.5mm and there is no discomfort or pain. Which is nice, but it's hard avoiding going to 8mm so soon. maybe I should.......

My #sleep is so much better now after the #septoplasty to fix my #deviated #septum.

After this #surgery, can finally #breathe through my #nose and no longer wake up every few minutes. I’m so #thankful for this.

I’m thankful for the #doctors and #nurses who do this work and perfect their crafts. I’m thankful for the #medical profession in general. I wish our #healthcare system in the US was different, obviously. I wish #insurance wasn’t a necessary thing. But while I have it, I am thankful.

I woke up #happy finally. I woke up with energy. I woke up #excited to be #alive. It has truly changed my #life.

Has anyone here had Deviated Septum Surgery? What was your experience like? Did you regret it at any point?

I'm scheduled to go under the knife tomorrow. I should have probably asked this months ago.
