I have my external keyboard mapped for Colemak. When I’m not at my desk, I flip an OS switch to remap the built-in keyboard type Colemak instead of QWERTY. I often forget to flip this switch back when I return to my desk, which makes my Colemak external keyboard get reinterpreted as Colemak-on-QWERTY. So effectively I end up typing on this layout:

QWT;Z NILJO
APRBG HKFUY
XCDSV EM,./

I think that now that I’ve seen the virtual layout, I have to name it “Quit me” (QWT + Z-rhyme, and it’s what I have to do). #keyboard #typing

I wrote a #shortstory today ^.~

With my phone.

Using a stylus and swiping.

That, and a good editor app.

I wrote an abstract #feminist allegory...

I think.

The writer lives in me and I must give it way, something that I've always found hard on #smartphones.

But with the current approach, I think I can get closer and closer to the type of writing feel mostly associated with touch #typing.

I've got a writing session coming up on Friday, and if we're lucky, good things can come from it.

Is there any way to set the compose in Linux to AltGr without breaking the standard Irish keyboard layout? I'd like to be able to type €áéíóú on my laptop but also use the keyboard for German and French with the compose key. With an external keyboard I can set it to [Menu], but my laptop's built in keyboard doesn't have [Menu]

I haven‘t typed so much in years as the last few days. I‘m having to correct #typos so much, three or four times a word sometimes, it’s really annoying.

Trying to select a word often gets the two either side of it as well, or the line above, and I wonder if that’s me or the app. Sometimes the app stops responding for a moment, though not freezing.

Even autocorrect gets it wrong occasionally when I do type a word right, giving my hands even more work.

I'm my almost frustrating endeavour of finding a Logitech MX Keys S replacement... I think I've finally found it.

The Keychron B6 Pro ISO ESP.

The only place I can buy it is from AliExpress at around USD $60, so I will take my chances. Anything better than a Logitech shit that disconnect every three seconds.
