So I started watching #Unmasked a couple of weeks ago but somehow lost interest 😑 Kim Hye Soo’s character was like a recycled combo version of her characters in Signal and Juvenile Justice, and I could not get past Jung Su Il’s turn from the very sexy and charismatic Ha Do Young in The Glory to the bumbling “rebellious” Han Do in this drama. Maybe I’ll give it another shot later this week? #kdrama

I drive a car because using public transport with all those anti-maskers is basically gaslighting against anyone who isn't braindead, has a basic survival instinct, doesn't want to suffer from Long Covid or has to care for/work with immunocompromized people.

@cbcnews @health-cbcnews #TrueStory Almost 2 years ago, my Dad was admitted to hospital for ambulatory leg issues. It was #unmasked #hospital staff who infected him with #covid. That caused him to get #pneumonia while in hospital. It weakened his already #immunocompromised system & he died last Summer from #LongCovid #CardiacArrest. Prior to this - Dad had no cardiac issues. His preexisting illnesses were neurological from 2 traumatic brain injuries.

Our provincial #PublicHealth is run on #eugenics - it's killing & disabling thousands of people. Our government just keeps lying to the public. They are not even properly tracking infections. Our public health authorities are a #danger to the public.

Cuz whilst I personally have a record of no issues with vaccinations, the 'Rona booster knocked me out for several days and I got the second worst shivers in my life.

  • And whilst the worst vaccination side-effects are universally understood to be less severe than the mildest infection for the same individual, I consider it both necessary to get vaccinated AND also consider it a hatecrime by the state against #marginalized people to not only uphold #MaskMandate|s but also not enforce a #VaccinationMandate because we already made it #mandatory to have #HealthInsurance just to prevent #MedicalDebt and enshure everyone gets cared for [at least on paper]!

Monthly blood test and alt-monthly doctor's appointment, different offices, same building. Two masked nurses, #masked doctor: plus. Three #unmasked receptionists: minus. Also three unmasked other patients (seen in passing, from a distance).

But at least the blood office is in-and-out, as usual. And the new receptionist has gotten the doctor more on schedule, so I'm shown straight into an exam room when I arrive, no waiting room. #N95 #CovidIsNotOver

This blip from Reddit about why doctors won't #mask hits different after having been in a room with ID specialists at Children's National and finding that we were the only ones masking. Not the doctors. Not the nurses. Not the staff. In an infectious disease ward. At a hospital for children. In the dead of winter. During a pandemic.

We got phenomenal care, but the irony of having a sober discussion about my kid's probable #PostCovid immune disorder with #unmasked ID doctors is just 🤌🏽

happy 2024 to all Mastodon users. Time to reflect: When I was a small, young Slevin my parents bought me the Vinyl record of #KISS #Unmasked #1980, bought at our local weekly market. To be honest I knew nothing of the band or music, but thought the cover was awesome, comic style and all. Coming home and trying to play the record, it skipped from track to track and here may lie my deep seeded hate for vinyl. So now, 44 years later I bought the Remastered CD version from #Discogs #2024 starting 👍

Whelp, after masking profusely through the last few years my #immunocompromised wife and I finally got covid courtesy of #unmasked #bced teachers, staff and children following the almighty #BonnieHenry’s recommendations.

I blame this #BCndp completely for their dismissal of covid mitigations and gutless acceptance of societal sickness over empathy and simple measures that could have saved lives.

I’m currently out of work due to the film strikes, now my wife is out of commission as well because of this #bcndp embracing covid.

British Columbia is a cesspool of #covid but no one cares, no one is taking precautions, and no one is talking about it.

We are now that tree, which is what Bonnie always intended. Long abandoned by our families because we cared enough to continue #masking, now covid sick and alone due to complacency pushed by #BonnieHenry, #AdrianDix and this #corrupt #BCndp.
