When something comes along revealing that maybe our choices cause suffering, we feel uncomfortable and struggle to accept that we’ve been lied to, duped and say, “It’s just bad practice, a few bad apples and not the norm”.
Vystopia - feeling of anguish suffered by ethical vegans when confronted with the attitudes of mainstream society towards animal suffering. Such a destructive feeling of powerlessness over animal suffering...

Dystopia. I boosted these yesterday to see if anyone noticed. Humans have already made Hell on Earth for innumerable non-human animals.

I'm well aware of how unpopular collapse discourse is, and it is tied to how humans treat other animals too. You won't find me at parties. I don't even bother with food if I go to social events, since I'm always masking. Can't eat with a mask.
Care is political, in antithesis with the opposite, which is also political: the absence of care.
If you're trying to find arguments for surrendering to the low-effort "normality" of Business As Usual, you probably will. The whole premise of the system and its culture is the fostering of sociopaths, rat racers who want to compete (to the death) with others, to win some promised Dream of being rich and starting some kind of dynasty thing, a type of family corporatism, each imagining that they'll become some aristocracy.
Like with veganism, the core arguments are ethical and moral. If you're not relying on that, you will eventually fall to some type of hedonism or fantasies.
It doesn't have to always be this difficult, but is this way now.
