@globalmuseum Can we agree, that the history is written and rewritten? I object to the word rowdy.
I think we can all agree that UK pirates weren't gentlemen, either. Somehow, the qualifier rowdy is absent when people refer to the Brits dominating much of the sea.
The Scandinavians obviously had the better strategy and superior force to conquer swathes of Europe.
