music, boosts appreciated, asking for help

Hi!

So I want to get more serious with music and open subscriptions on Bandcamp. I don't want to do that before I have enough followers to guarantee a decent amount of income from subscribers.

My goal is 1000. I have 996 to go. Here's a ton of music for $7 to show you why I think 1000 people could be into it. vibrafox.bandcamp.com/album/hi

Before you call someone lazy, consider the possibility they may have an invisible disability instead.

I think it's the conflict over how to resolve two values that are often at odds: growth of culture and growth of population. You can have both, but favoring one tends to squish the other. One way, you get Nazis. The other, you get sprawling, unmanageable megatropoli like Atlanta. Or Twitter.

Whether that's good or bad is something we'll only know when viewing it in the distance behind us, but I don't like it.

My one meta contrition: toot's origin story as someone goofing at Eugen and Eugen changing it in the space of like 5 minutes is a reflection of the best part of Mastodon and changing it represents a fundamental shift away from that culture of spontaneous, innocent human interaction to one overly concerned with mainstream presentation.

Friendly neighborhood hawk (I say as a creature it doesn't consider food)

Bat-ear foxes are precious babies but they look like someone messed up transmuting a chimera from a hyena and painted dog.

I didn't mind the lo-fi, cheeseball, 32 bit free synthyness of the original, but it's nice to not be stuck with limited knowledge and the aging Synth1.

*sadly goes to reset the counter to 0 on the "days since I saw someone shit on the existence of light themes" sign*

I think on average I see this like once a week.

I cannot see dark themes at all. And it's a hell of a thing to see this hostility not just to a software option but to my own existence and qualities as a person who uses this option. Like I've seen people say you have to be a psychopath to use light theme, which is an awesome way to double up on the ableism!

Me in the 2010s: "trigender pyrofox" is funny

Me in the 2020s with a fennec/red panda (firefox) fursona and recognizing three distinct genderfeels: oh

This ship will not survive the formation of the cosmos.

I refocused my Patreon on photography so I could move music over to Bandcamp. It's so much better for music.
