M10
Magnitude 6.6 globular cluster located 14,300 light-years away in the constellation Ophiuchus. The cluster is currently located about 16,000 light-years from the Galactic Center. It completes an orbit around the Milky Way galaxy about every 140 million years, during which it crosses the plane of the galactic disk every 53 million years.

NGC 7789 Caroline's Rose
Magnitude 6.7 open cluster located 7,600 light-years away in the constellation Cassiopeia. It was discovered by Caroline Herschel in 1783. When seen visually, the loops of stars and dark lanes look like the swirling pattern of rose petals as seen from above.

After combining the high rez and lower rez channel data... certainly still a lot of that background read noise going on, but that was a good exercise in trying to get a JWST workflow going.
Saturn from last night.
Taken with Dobson 8" + Barlow 2x + Neptune-C II.
The black line you see in the rings is called the Cassini Division, which was discovered by Giovanni Cassini in 1675.
I think this is my best Saturn so far 😊.

NGC 6992 Eastern Veil Nebula
Magnitude 7.0 cloud of heated and ionized gas and dust located 2,400 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus. It is part of the Cygnus Loop which is a faint supernova remnant that exploded 7,000 years ago. From the moment the source star exploded to now, the Cygnus Loop supernova remnant expanded to a diameter of roughly 3° on the sky, or almost 6 full moons.

NGC 281 Pacman Nebula
Emission nebula located 9,500 light-years away in the constellation Cassiopeia. It was discovered by Edward Emerson Barnard in 1883.

NGC 6503
Magnitude 10.2 dwarf spiral galaxy located 17 million light-years away in the constellation Draco. It especially colorful with bright red regions of gas scattered through its spiral arms. Bright blue regions contain stars that are forming. Dark brown dust areas are in the galaxy's arms and center.

Polaris
Magnitude 1.86-2.13 variable double star located 433 light-years away in the constellation Ursa Minor. Polaris, or North Star, stands almost motionless in the sky and all the stars of the northern sky appear to rotate around it.

Here’s the 2nd asteroid I’ve observed from my backyard in the name of #citizenscience 💪🏻
7335 (1989 JA) is a huge 1 km diameter asteroid that whizzed by Earth on May 27. Luckily it missed us by 4 million km 🫣
a repro of one of the many impressive views by #ESARosetta on its 2010 flyby. Look at those landslides & boulders for example

Saturn
Saturn is 1.4 billion km away from the Sun. It has 7 ring systems around it and 82 confirmed satellites. A year on Saturn is the equivalent of 30 Earth years, while a day lasts 10.7 hours. The average temperature on Saturn is around -178 degrees Celsius.

M11 Wild Duck Cluster
Magnitude 5.8 open cluster located 6,120 light-years away in the constellation Scutum. It was discovered by Gottfried Kirch in 1681. Its popular name derives from the brighter stars forming a triangle which could resemble a flying flock of ducks.
