I switched to @debian Bookworm on one of my PCs on Sunday. It's roughly in the middle of the testing cycle I expect, so still a bit error prone.

I mostly updated for gcc 11, Python 3.10 and Qt6, but getting Gnome 42 was nice as well. Just a bit sad that it broke the desktop theme I've been using. I'm not a huge fan of the default theme.

It looks like themes in Gnome 40+ may be a bit tricky though.

A new study finds 3,000 websites on which third-party tracking companies scoop up what you type into forms in real time — even if you never hit submit. This happens on about 1,800 websites for E.U. users too, likely in violation of the GDPR.

My favourite swipe typo of the day: "Norse cancelling headphones". Presumably that means Bluetooth is turned off.

Just finished another round of , all 17 season of the three shows. Yet again I'm annoyed that they cancelled Stargate Universe 😒

Thankfully, most of my work emails are notifications from various systems we maintain. If it isn't my support day. I can just skim through the subjects and if there are none assigned directly to me, I can right click and "mark all as read".

The most satisfying task of my work day! 😁

I think I will round off this afternoon of working on @novelwriter with dinner and watching the last of the three Hobbit movies. 😊

The first pre-release of novelWriter 1.7 is up. This is a beta release, so if you try it out, please be careful about using it on your real projects.

1.7 will include many improvements to how the project tree is organised. You can now have documents as children of other documents, and drag and drop items a lot more freely.

1.7 will update the file format of your projects to support more features. Keep in mind that updated projects cannot be opened in older versions.
