the drymifolia collective<a href="https://zirk.us/@MelodyWainscott" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@MelodyWainscott</a> they are mostly seedlings of allegedly cold-hardy cultivars like <a href="https://sunbeam.city/tags/DelRio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DelRio</a>, <a href="https://sunbeam.city/tags/Joey" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Joey</a>, and <a href="https://sunbeam.city/tags/Mexicola" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Mexicola</a>. There are also a handful of <a href="https://sunbeam.city/tags/Fuerte" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Fuerte</a> seedlings in this batch, which probably are not hardy enough for our project, but still hardier than some avocados.

the drymifolia collectiveThe only <a href="https://sunbeam.city/tags/avocado" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#avocado</a> seeds we've started so far this fall are <a href="https://sunbeam.city/tags/DelRio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DelRio</a> seeds from <a href="https://mstdn.science/@floridafruitgeek" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@floridafruitgeek</a>, whose largest tree apparently overproduced this year. Fruit size (and thus flesh to seed ratio) suffered as a result, but that also meant he had enough extras to sell & ship seeds for the first time this year. Here's one of the fruit he sent along with the seeds, it was quite tasty despite having so little flesh.

Last year, I added a graft of <a href="https://sunbeam.city/tags/WalterHole" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#WalterHole</a> (blue), and let the rootstock grow a branch (magenta).
