Oserez-vous aller à leur rencontre ? Après avoir contemplé la lumière des dragons, vous ne trouverez nulle contrée imaginaire où vous réfugier. Au détour d’une forêt sombre, vous croiserez peut-être des yōkai malfaisants, à moins que ce ne soit un yūrei qui vous traque. La ville ne vous épargnera pas plus de dangers, avec ses bêtes retorses, ses démons sanglants et ses kaijū terrifiants. Prenez garde : un miroir peut dissimuler un secret, une promesse, un fardeau. Les kitsune sont en chasse, les guerriers aux abois, les esprits en désarroi. Une partie de go ne vous apportera pas plus de repos. Les kami s’échapperont du royaume des morts, à moins que ce ne soit l’Enfer lui-même qui s’abatte sur Terre.Mon Avis Les contes sont des histoires intéressantes. Ils reflètent la philosophie, la mythologie des peuples qui les racontent. Dans ces contes écrits par différents auteurs, les histoires sont fantastiques. Elles touchent la mythologie extrême-orientale: des dieux, des démons, des déesses. Des humains s’y affrontent afin de faire gagner le bien sur le mal. De faire rejaillir ce bien sur les humains. Un dragon en quête de bonheur, des démons et des succubes rancuniers. Ils traversent le temps, les saisons pour donner vie à ce qu’ils recèlent au fond d’eux. Que veulent-ils? Pourquoi agissent-ils de la sorte? Quel est le rôle des humains dans tout cela?Ce recueil de contes est magnifique. L’on pourrait penser que les auteurs sont japonais. Eh bien, pas vraiment. Leurs connaissances du panthéon asiatique, de sa mythologie, ne peuvent être contestés. Ils nous racontent des quêtes, des vengeances, des voyages où l’équilibre du monde se fait par le biais du Yin et du Yang. Au début de chaque conte, se trouve une esquisse en noir et blanc qui résume l’histoire qui suit. L’humain reste le même. Il recherche toujours la puissance, quel que soit le prix à payer. La voie de la facilité est tellement plus simple, pour lui, que quand le piège se referme, il ne lui reste plus que les regrets.Ce recueil de contes nous fait entrer directement dans la mythologie asiatique. Le mal est partout, sous toutes les formes. Il trouve parfois une complicité en l’humain qui est toujours prêt à tout pour assouvir sa soif de pouvoir, de possession. Les auteurs racontent merveilleusement bien. En fermant les yeux et en écoutant, le lecteur se retrouve au cœur du Japon, à vivre des aventures fantastiques. à trembler avec les autres humains. À prier pour que le bien triomphe du mal. Les créatures du folklore japonais portent des noms qui ne laissent aucun doute sur leur appartenance. Onryo : esprit vengeur, Kitsune: esprit.
