Arrovitch
We entered a great #SwimRun event at St Estephe lake, 40 mins south, arriving the day before due to a 9.30m start. Nicky planned to walk rather than run, but her competitive side took over & she ran it all, finishing 2nd in her age category. I felt sluggish & slow, but somehow finished first in my age category, 8th overall, over the shortest distance (1 lap: 5.6k #running, 1.8k #swimming in 13 segments). Others did two or three laps of the same course, some arriving in over 3 hrs later! [06/24]

Steve
Completed the LLanberis Swimrun yesterday with my event partner Britta. Totals of 13km running, 3km swimming. As the rain started to clear fleeting glimpses of the mountains at the southeastern end of Llyn Padarn inbetween being slapped in the face by waves.
#swimrun

Steve
Completed the Coniston Swimrun in the Lake District with my workmate, friend and swimrun partner, Britta, last Sunday. 6 runs, 5 swims, totalling 18km running and 3km swimming, all in teeming rain. Surprisingly, we got our best time for the course.
#swimrun

Steve
Four years since I partnered my friend Britta on the Gower Swimrun. We did the long option even though neither of us was fit enough simply because the swim out to, and scramble around, Worms Head wasn't on the short route.
#swimrun
#gower

Steve
My occasional Swimrun partner and co-worker, Britta, having also run 5km yesterday (she's been struggling since completing the Berlin Marathon) suggested laughingly that it's about time we entered our next event as, 'we must be ready now'. The last full event we did the summer before the pandemic kicked in was 8 runs and 8 swims totalling 36km hilly running and 6km swimming. Going the right way, I guess.
#swimrun

Steve
One of the roles of my SwimRun partner, Britta, at the coop we both work at is as a member of the personnel team. Emailed today to explain why I wouldn't be in again as I can't shake this flu. As well as a serious answer she also wrote that she was looking at an event for our next one together. It's been a fantastic way to extend my running career, and am so going to try to get it together for yet another 'last' season.
#SwimRun

Arrovitch
Ah, it seems I should have loaded my first introduction with hashtags, so here's a follow-up post- I live in #France, but #travel a lot all over Europe.
