Andreas Sternowski<p>The ideal of our current <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/civilization" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>civilization</span></a>, it is the individual and his <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/freedom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>freedom</span></a> to do whatever he likes and have whatever he wants.<br>I think we could even leave this <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/individualism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>individualism</span></a> as it is, only the goal would have to change. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Yoga" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Yoga</span></a> and <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Vedanta" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Vedanta</span></a> give us the life goal of human growth, the growth of the individual in his <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/morals" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>morals</span></a>, in his <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/understanding" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>understanding</span></a>, in his <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/heart" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>heart</span></a>. Instead of the freedom of possession, the freedom of <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/human" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>human</span></a> development.<br>Could we not integrate this ideal into our <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Western" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Western</span></a> culture?</p>
