Sustainable Sailing<p>We have refitted our main mast compression post. All these extra layers:<br>2 layers of woven glassfibre mat extra on deck, under mast foot. <br>2 layers of woven glassfibre mat under the deck.<br>Then 2mm of FR4 bedded with thickened epoxy. <br>Then 10mm stainless steel plate (same size as the mast foot plate).<br>Then original compression post (slightly shortened).<br>Below that 2mm FR4. Then 2mm neoprene.
