I need more recs for happy, found family, make-you-smile-and-warm-your-heart type of dramas. I don't mind murder and chaos as long as my people have a happy ending. Recent likes have been #BlossomsInAdversity, #StoryOfKunningPalace, I also liked #JoyOfLife & #MeetYourself.
@LianaBrooks am watching Legend of Zhuohua now and love it. Legend of Shen Li and In Blossoms are also not bad
@liztai Thank you. I'll go check them out.
@LianaBrooks
I'm really enjoying #HospitalPlaylist as a group of close friends eat and make music together in between surgeries.
Family and friend shows I liked include #MyLiberationNotes and #Reply1988

@EllenInEdmonton Hospital Playlist has been on my list for ages, but contemporary medical stuff hits a little too close to home.
@LianaBrooks Give it a try. Although most of the scenes take place in a hospital, the show is less focused on the medical issues and more focused on the lives of the medical practitioners.
@EllenInEdmonton I'm in and out of hospitals a lot these days with health problems and it's just a little too close to home right now.
@LianaBrooks Yeah, that's not too much fun. I worked a lot with folks who had an assortment of medical issues and have been through a series of accompanying family and friends to hospitals. It's piqued my curiosity but I'm not the one getting poked and prodded.
@LianaBrooks
Oh, found family with happy endings!

(A lot here, because they do this well)

#SpaceSweepers

#HometownChaChaCha #CrashLandingOnYou
@JillsJoy @LianaBrooks I came to recommend Hometown ChaChaCha but Jill is also spot on with Space Sweepers!
@JillsJoy Hometown Cha Cha Cha and Crash Landing are two of my favorites. I liked space sweeper too.
I'll go look up the others.
@LianaBrooks Are you willing to watch Thai? The friendships in Sweet Sensory (Thai PBS) are close enough they feel like a found family which will continue.

@LianaBrooks Moonlight Chicken that Jill recced is a masterpiece of emotion. Love it so much.
Also Stay. A vibrant young Thai woman goes to Japan to live/work on a farm and learn about local food. The family she stays with are the best. The emotions aren't big and dramatic, they're just very real.
Available thanks to a fan subber. I can send you the link.
@emmaaum Excellent, I'll check it out.
@emmaaum I do like Thai dramas! I'll check it out.
@LianaBrooks If you have any problems navigating Thai PBS or their vipa streaming service, feel free to ask. I've gotten pretty good at bashing my way around it without being able to read Thai.
There are English subtitles but the button is labeled in Thai on some series. If you run into that, try the middle of the options.
@LianaBrooks Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty is very "the real family were the misfits we adopted along the way" although one person you start thinking of as family doesn't make it to the end, so I don't know where that goes in your calculus.
@Betty That sounds familiar. It's either on my list or I started and got distracted.
@LianaBrooks How about “Will Love in Spring”? I’ve just started watching and it is looking promising. If you like “Meet Yourself”, this drama is very similar, I think …
@Sollenbum I'll check it out. :)
