Thank you! We specifically looked for a black cat to adopt. It turned out that our local shelter (which had been closed due to COVID) just had five kittens - four black and one tuxedo.
@LemonSky1970 that's great... we also looked for a black one to adopt (it turned out she was very dark brown... but almost black in wintertime).
Michael went through a period when he was younger when he was part-black, part-brown. His color has now changed to black. It was really odd.
