@aral One thing that would help me move off mastodon.online is a way to migrate accounts that works in an adversarial environment. So, “I don’t have any access to my old account, but I do have this certificate.”
I like the idea of moving my account around freely between small instances, but I feel like I need to be picky because I don’t have the energy to deal with them shutting down or having weird admins.
