But it wasn't until another author in that community asked me to edit his story. I admire the works of both authors, so in this case, I was especially honoured and awestruck. That's where I learned that, to achieve this chemistry, you need to work on par and not be afraid to make suggestions, even rewrites if needed.
The latter story was eventually published (there's even an English translation available online).

But even that was, although invested, merely a hobby. Shortly after, I found a post on #Twitter by someone searching for an #editor. Hesitantly (it wasn't the safe haven of the online community, where I knew people to a certain degree, anymore), I replied and we established the conditions. You could say, that was my first official full published book editing. Two more books followed.

I have to say, editing 300 pages, as compared to 3k words for one assignment, is still tough: It takes time and, although highly interesting, is a little stressful at times. However, from time to time, even though not as frequently as I used to write, I enjoy #editing. So if you are looking for an #editor and don't mind him doing that in his spare time, don't be shy.
