I'm trying Earl Grey Tea today. Not bad.
I panicked for a moment but then found a secret stash. #earlgrey #codingworld
"Kind Hearts & Coronets" teableau for 01/30/25
In the satire, Kind Hearts & Coronets, Alec Guinness plays 8 repulsive aristocrats standing between Louis (Dennis Price) & a dukedom. Louis removes each in turn as revenge for his mother being disowned by them for marrying a mere opera singer.
I’m always wanting the best #earlgrey I just love the stuff. I happen to have some really good #chinese #redtea. So I decided I’m going to make some top shelf earl grey. I have some bergamot essence already. Just ordered some #cornflowers to add to the tea. Not sure if this is sacrillege but I can’t wait to try it out. Yeah, I like #tea

Happy #caturday everyone! Here's a couple pictures of Bergamot being an absolutely adorable little ham. He used to lay in the top of that cat tower when he was little, but hasn't for a while; now that we're moving it to rearrange stuff, it's becoming his favorite place in the world (despite not quite fitting anymore lol).
He also loves playing under the blankets. He tunnels almost every night

My next #EarlGreyReview is about Vahdam Earl Grey - an overpriced and overflavoured Indian black tea that tries to place itself as original and eco friendly. Like most cheaper teas it has no grading information, but it costs €53/kg. The main thing you'll notice when you open the bag is an overwhelming flowery/putrid smell unlikely to come from natural bergamot. If you can get over that it produces a red flavourful tea that isn't too bad but has little to do with #EarlGrey. Cold it's drinkable.
I'll start my #EarlGreyReview with the best #EarlGrey I've tasted so far: Ronnefeldt Tippy Golden Earl Grey. Despite being a 4th flush (autumn harvest) this is a comparatively light and smooth Darjeeling with complex flavours and a delicate citrus note, containing young tender tea buds (tips). It still tastes sweet and mild even after getting cold. In the tea leaf grading system it's TGFOP (Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe). Its cost is reasonably high: €71/kg
