Everyone loves Docker but me.
My robot GoPi5Go-Dave ran #ROS2 Humble in a Docker container
( #Ubuntu22 was not available for Pi5 )
The #Pi5 #I2C died so I downgraded Dave to a Pi4 - no more Docker, no more two OS to update, no more hardware interface nightmares.
ROS 2 "Humble Dave 2" got on his dock, charged for 2.4 hrs, got off his dock, and promptly complained the "Future has no done attribute"
Isn't that the definition of the future?
ROS Joke: Just need to fix the future.
Currently renovating the kitchen and noticed this on the pcb of the new extractor hood. I feel tempted but we are running tight on schedule.
The pi I was using recognises an #i2c display from #waveshare but the i2c from the #ups hat E #upshat_e is not seen.

Has anyone managed to make the #waveshare #ups #hat E work on a #raspberrypi4 ? I have no #i2c data from it at all. Pins look connected. Pi has power over the pins. But no i2c.

Soldered pins also do not work. i2c does not work for protected and unprotected batteries.
#i2c #pogopins connection of #waveshare #ups E (https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/UPS_HAT_(E)) #hat to #raspberrypi4 #gpio appears not to be detected. Anyone have similar problems with #pogopins or are they 99% reliable normally? Thanks

I've just posted about a couple of neat I2C modules that I'm planning to use with a MIDI controller at some point.

#Unboxing the #OpenWrtOne #Router with open #Software and open #Hardware and with the coolest #features at the moment!
The only instructions you receive are printed directly on the packaging. A great extension option is the #MikroBus: https://www.mikroe.com/mikrobus - It has both a #serial and an #I2C bus via which #IoT sensors can be connected.
There is also the option of connecting an #SSD, which I used immediately. I would also like to use the router as a #weather #monitoring station via appropriate sensors and then save the data on the SSD and have it evaluated and displayed via a #web #server.
The accessories supplied include a power supply unit, antennas, some screws and jumpers as well as a screwdriver. However, the screws on the case were so tight that I needed a better tool to open it.
I plan to provide my neighborhood with free #wifi via the router. I also want to run some web applications there and make them publicly accessible on the #Internet. So stay tuned and I will tell you here about the #configuration, #installation and results ...

UART/I2C firmware for https://www.tindie.com/products/8086net/rp2040-interfacer-uarti2c/ RP2040 Interfacer is now available on https://github.com/8086net/RP2040_Interfacer-UART_I2C
(it's also supported by CircuitPython https://circuitpython.org/board/8086_rp2040_interfacer/ )
Just had a bit of a deep-dive into two new topics:
First: Various I2C connections - Stemma, Qwiic, etc
Then: A cheap, and largely undocumented ESP32C3 OLED board.
