Heh, my mom is currently waiting to take off for a flight to see her sister.

Her sock needles just broke.

So she texted me.

I have just ordered a couple pair to show up at my aunt's house tomorrow.

This was honestly the easiest way for Mom to deal with this particular problem. Which amuses me to no end.

My yarn arrived today. This is for the Clapotis I plan to make to match my new Winter coat. Yes, just in time for things to get warm. But it will be ready for the next cold season, right?

I will link the Clapotis pattern for those who have not seen it. And here is the last one I made, though I do not wear it stretched out. I wear it like a scarf, kind of rolled up.

My new yarn has lots of good colors for my coat and I am excited. Greeny blues, bluey greens, purples, green-greens, even a nice golden yellow. I am really happy I found something in the colorway I wanted. We'll see how it pools when I start knitting it up!

Hello everyone! I have been extremely busy lately knitting, watching YouTube, etc. I’ve been out of the house three times this week which is one more time than normal. I like leaving my house but due to my autism and the Misophonia that comes along with it, I very much Like to stay at home in my apartment as much as possible. I don’t hate the world. I just hate the noise that I can’t control. Also, I don’t know how I figured it out, but I don’t need 18 extra gains of yarn. I looked at the seller and I don’t think she’s holding onto them for me after all because the number she has currently is 11 when I made the deal with her she had 18 so I don’t think I’m gonna shop with her anymore. If what I’m thinking is true. Luckily my cubes of yarn are full and I have more than enough to get me through the next few months to a year depending on what I wanna make. #Knitting #Yarn #OutInTheWorld #AutisticArtist.

Can any knitters help me understand these instructions? The way this is coming out is that I feel like I'm actually making a quadruple stitch, not MDS (make double stitch). Because I end on a "knit the wrap", which when pulled tight turns 2 stitches into 4. Knitting the wrap in these instructions means placing wrap on right needle and knitting stitch and wrap together.

The row instructions:
Row 3: Sl1 wyf, k to w, k the w, turn the work.
Row 4: Mds, p to 1 st before end, k1 tbl.

I've seen teeny tiny crochet hooks - 0.6 mm. I've even used them.

But I've never seen #knitting needles of that size. Until today.

I've seen instructions for sock knitting from the late 18hundreds, that suggest to cast on up to 160 sts for one sock. No needle size given, but they are probably in that range ...
