Mistodon: I fully expect that Danger Bay BBS offered up the #LegendOfTheRedDragon door game, giving Zeus II an excellent excuse to draw its namesake in #ANSIart here! This piece was included in the MIST0221 artpack collection.
A couple of weekends from now I hope to have a #LegendOfTheRedDragon (single player) type game working. I think the basic design would support multiplayer extensions relatively well too, for suitably small values of “multiplayer” (think more “shared world” and less “real-time interactive combat”).
If the design ends up being clean enough that my idea for multiplayer can be implemented entirely as a module using the extension API, I will consider the project a success.

There were always players on #LegendOfTheRedDragon who were so powerful that they used their fists as weapons and didn't bother sleeping in the inn (for protection). To this day, I have no idea how they managed that!
I remember writing a macro that would let me go through the forest and fight. I could just let that go and get my experience for the day.
Oh, and there was something about the #ANSIArt that I just loved.

I just remembered having so much fun calling up my local #BBS (shout out to the Inner Sanctum and the Eagle's Nest!) and playing games like #LegendOfTheRedDragon. Even the sound of the modem connecting was something special.
Until my mom would pick up the phone and I'd lose my connection, of course.
Young me wanted to be part of the #warez scene, but didn't have any warez to share. I got scolded by the BBS owner for uploading demos. :D
