'Dinge die mit "P" beginnen ... ' - das #Portragon 100mm f4 von #Spiratone. Ein $20 Einlinser(!), mit dem man selbst heute noch an einer 100MP #Fujifilm #GFX Kamera ordentlich wie mit einem #Weichzeichner fotografieren kann (siehe Bild 2).

Continuing on unusual/uncommon lenses, the good old "fish-eye" lens. There are two kinds. The first kind, the circular fish eye is what most people think of. The image covers a circle inside the image sensor, getting light from 180 degrees in all the axes.

Here is an example of that where I took a picture using such a lens.

This picture is called "Dendrites", 2021

You'd think that adding an adapter and a teleconverter to a vintage M42 ("universal thread mount", as found on , , etc) would make for a combo that is too heavy and too long for normal use. It really depends on the lens you combine it with.

Here it is combined with a , 300mm f5.6. The whole thing is smaller than my 50-230, and about the same weight but almost twice the reach.

Longer description:

Taken with the #Spiratone Sharpshooter 400mm preset aperture lens. The photograph is not cropped or post-processed. It was taken from the peak of our rooftop to get an unobstructed view of the sky.

It features a Spiratone X2 T-mount teleconverter and a JCPenney Auto 2x K-mount #Teleconverter for a total focal length of 1600mm which is roughly equivalent to 2400mm in 35mm.

The #camera was in wireless mode with mirror lock-up enabled to minimize vibration. As the #moon rose in the sky, I'd adjust the forward #tripod leg rather than trying to adjust the ball head.
