In the musical Black Friday by Team Starkid, one of the characters has the power to peer into alternate realities. The director/co-writer said that during one of the songs, she is actually looking into our world and seeing the audience.

...Except you can't actually tell that from watching the musical, because "character in a musical sings to the audience" is the default expectation.
