@MJ totally on-point.

The only times I was at a store when it opened on #BlackFriday were over 30 years ago, when I was living on #SSI and doing an #unpaidInternship (I have a disability and it was the last part of a #trainingProgram). we were invited to my in-laws' for holiday gift-giving and there were lots of people to gift.

Another year, the paper had a 75% off one item coupon* at Meijer. There was a marked-down drill-press (to <$100) that I got for my then-spouse using that coupon.
