His attempts to #vilify immigrants & people of color, including his campaign’s use of #racist tropes, align w/tactics that #populist & #authoritarian leaders have used throughout #history, scholars and historians say.

Reject the #guise of #journalistic #neutrality when it serves to #legitimize #antitrans #propaganda and #harm #trans people, and deny us our #humanrights. Stand against those who would #vilify #marginalized young people and seek to #fracture #families; the public counts on you to prioritize #truth over #harmful #bias. Exercise #discernment and #empathy in your #coverage, acknowledging #healthcare as a #basic #humanright.

Vilify is a 4-piece melodic hardcore band from Australia formed in 2020. They’ve released two EPs, their debut ‘Clarity’ and a double single release ‘Odyssey/Futility’.

This band got promoted by Spaceuntravel and ended up in their Spotify playlist. At one point in the song some cleans came through and I finally realized that this was a woman screaming. I really like their sound a lot and they’re quite up-and-coming. They’re definitely leaning more towards the hardcore part of melodic hardcore .
