Originally found in 1983, Baryonyx is a good example of convergent evolution. With a skull shape similar to a Gharial or Phytosaur, its believed it also specialised in eating fish.

Its name comes from "barys" meaning heavy/strong and "onyx" meaning claw/talon. This is because it, like other Spinosaurids, have relatively large and robust claws.
