This is the notice in the Stratford Herald that I found that led me to the planning order:

Absolute 'no-brainer' here, if you value your #rights of way, right to roam and generally getting out in the #countryside using byways and #bridleways and you're in the #UK you should be on this:

After listening to the incessant rain last night, I almost had 2nd thoughts about pioneering the #SlowWays route from #Buckfastleigh to #Ipplepen today - expecting #Devon #byways & #bridleways flowing like rivers or boot-deep in mud. A bit of both, but surprisingly passable. A flooded meadow proved more tricky. The original route, Bucipp 1 fails due to an access issue (lack of!), but I’d an alternative up my sleeve - Bucipp 2 gets 4️ imo.
#Cake from Broadhempston community shop helped greatly!
This clapper bridge spans the Becka Brook in the wooded part of the valley between Greator Rocks and Smallacombe Rocks. It’s a route from Haytor to Hound Tor, so very popular in the summer. Nice & quiet today though .
I’m no horse rider, but I think you would need a sure-footed mount to negotiate the mossy boulders of the bridleway on the way down, which was also running like a stream after days of rain.
A lovely old mossy packhorse bridge over the River Bovey, Lustleigh.
Lustleigh Cleave is a magical mossy place, a lush temperate rainforest.

It’s fantastic that trains again run to Okehampton. Easy car-free access to the high moor. And a nice little train ride too!
A loop to Belstone Tor today, through the East Okement valley. One of my favourite walks, beautifully autumnal today. A sunglasses & waterproofs kind of day.

Reviewed a route from Lapford to Crediton as part of the #SlowWays network. A damp start, which turned into a lovely afternoon. Walking ancient (albeit a bit wet and muddy) #byways and #bridleways through the beautiful, peaceful mid #devon countryside. Reached Crediton just as the sun went down, tired and muddy (and with squelchy boots), but happy.
