Fun day today!
Birthday breakfast at #Denny's was meh. You only get the "Everyday Slam" for free on your birthday and it's nothing to write home about. But still. It was free.
Then we drove up to #SantaFe to visit the #GeorgiaOKeefe museum and holy Hannah that was fantastic! I've been a huge fan of O'Keefe and her works for a long time and it was cool to see some of her works in-person that I'd only seen in books and magazines.
She was such an amazing artist.
From Santa Fe we drove up the west side to #Taos, and specifically the #TaosBridge at the #RioGrande gorge.
It was pretty neat to see and we crossed the bridge without any problems. But the highlight of the trip would be the drive back!
We drove along side the Rio Grande river through the valley and saw some of the most beautiful sights and scenery we'd ever seen. I'm definitely coming back because I definitely want to go #rafting down the river!
Then we eventually made our way back and we had a late lunch/ early dinner at a place called Jerusalem, a Mediterranean restaurant in #RioRancho. I had a Chicken Schwarma and Elli had a Lamb platter. I learned I really don't like Tahini sauce so next time I'm going to get the Chicken Schwarma Kebab and no Tahini sauce. :-) But I'll definitely be going back!
Put a lot of miles on the truck today but interestingly enough my fuel economy/ gas mileage shot straight up thanks to all the highway driving. I'm sure it'll go back down tomorrow.
