I'm just home from being at the Pétanque club.
Played two games and I'm shattered!
I was in the winning teams for both games which makes a change.
Being there really lifted my spirits - being in the open air, with good, cheerful company on a pleasant day.
Nothing better!
It feels like the weather will break. Sooner rather than later, but it's only March.

Good morning.
I've woken up far too early.
Today looks like it'll be dry and cool here in the English East Midlands, so I'm intending to go to the Petanque club in Leicester's Western Park - it seems ages since I've thrown my balls around!
Sacha has been making greetings cards with her pressed flowers - and I expect that's going to occupy her some more.
Tomorrow will be a bit odd because although we are going to make an allotment trip, Kasa is coming to visit and has promised to cook our Sunday meal. The allotment trip needs to be coordinated with her arrival.
In other news, I've got a really irritating skin tag developing on my neck. One of the joys of ageing!

I'm back from the #petanque club - a really good couple of hours.
Great weather, nice people, and our team won (which helps!)
I'm still a bit sniffly, and I'm getting a bit 'chesty' - so I only stayed for the one game.
My wife might be very slightly better today.

Es war beim #Petanque ne Menge los am heiligen Sonntagmorgen.
Well the #Petanque club was opened today - so three of us threw a few boules around in the rain, on the muddy terrain, getting frozen fingers! (Am I selling this as a sport?)
It was a fun hour in good company, but now I need to defrost my fingers and get the mud off my coat, trousers and boules.
It was good to get out today for a couple of games of #petanque today in #leicester .
I played moderately well - or at least better than I expected to after a few weeks layoff.
But, gosh, my hands were cold!

Petanque spelen is momenteel mijn passie. Ook al ben ik nog maar 4 maanden bezig, ik sta zeker 4 a 5 keer week op de baan en heb een aantal cursussen in het vooruitzicht om nog wat de maken van mijn spel. Op 83 jarige leeftijd beginnen aan een wedstrijdsport, ook al is het Petanque, is best aan de late kant.
