I'm not convinced, that integrating #Brave instead of #Firefox into #Zorin OS 17.3 is the best move. Even though they chose to hide most of the browser’s problematic features (e.g., Brave Wallet, Brave Rewards, Leo AI, Brave Talk, Brave News, Brave’s sponsored background images, etc).

Microsoft Windows alternative Zorin is launching its new version 17.3 while Windows 10 reaching its end of life in October therefore a good replacement.
As a reminder, I personally replaced Windows by Zorin for my professional use since Aug 2024 without any issue. With Zorin OS + GoFAST (incl.Onlyoffice) + BlueMind (mail) you get a full sovereign opensource environment ! ZERO Microsoft lock-in

so #ZorinOS is no longer preinstalling Firefox, claiming Mozilla no longer aligns with their values.
instead they're installing #Brave. you know, the crypto-scam, AI bullshit, money to homophobes browser.
glad to see #Zorin made clear what they do consider to be their values.

To all users of Zorin OS ‘Lite’: this lightweight version using the #XFCE desktop environment will no longer be developed or maintained beyond Zorin OS 17 and 18 (end of support and maintenance in June 2029).

change GNU/Linux distribution
