I never really did an #introduction, just jumped in and never went back to Xitter.
A bit of an explanation now - I've transplanted to #Kobe #Japan from #Pittsburgh for my #ProfLife 4 month Fall sabbatical - with my family!
We #Homeschool our kids, so this worked out well (next yr Kid1 will head to college - last opportunity for this sort of adventure, so I snatched it). Wish me luck!
Thanks all who follow or just come across & boost - you mastofriends have all been gracious and kind!
@SRDas enjoy Japan - what a chance to immerse yourselves in a culture.
@lacouvee thanks! Yes - indeed, we are relishing our time here.
@SRDas my late husband was a judoka, we knew many Japanese people, and dreamed of living in Japan. So much so that I studied Japanese for 3 years. (lost all of it).
@lacouvee oh thats amazing that you took up Japanese. I started learning the script in Feb or so and got to learning hiragana and katakana in a couple of months but stalled after that and stopped. I should get back to it.
I hope that you get to visit and stay in Japan a bit - I'm sure your language skills will resurface quick
@SRDas at the time I worked in the hospitality industry and we had a lot of Japanese tourists - it made sense. Having the three writing systems makes it a challenge.
