Did you know that egg shells can survive a 12 hour kiln firing session with temperatures tipping over 2230 degrees Fahrenheit (approx 1220 degrees Celsius)?!?! Well, I definitely didn't expect that one .
I had dipped an egg shell in porcelain thinking I would just have a very thin egg-shaped porcelain piece after the kiln firing. Instead, there are actual eggshell remnants which is absolutely amazing!

That's because the insides of chickens typically run about 2k° F. It's from when we were dinosaurs.
