@dansup it’s great you’re releasing new stuff but when will the pixelfed app be released?

@peterw @dansup The Pixelfed app is also in beta. It can be downloaded in iOS via Testflight (pixelfed.org/go/testflight-ios) and on Android via Google Play (play.google.com/apps/testing/c) as a beta / via the F-Droid repository (fdroid.pixelfed.net/fdroid/rep) and via GitHub (github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed-r)(unfortunately not the latest version on GitHub. 1.0.0.68 contains a bug where you can't see the profile page of others).

@monstanner @peterw @dansup it’s been in beta for years now. I was kinda hoping this year’s Christmas would be it for the public release but I guess Loops got the spotlight instead. Only so much a single dev can do.

@ilyess @peterw @dansup There is also the web version, which you can "install" on Android (don't know if it also works under iOS) via browser and behaves like a native app. On the other hand, there are third-party apps like PixelDroid or Pixelix.

@monstanner @peterw @dansup that’s what I use, but it’s really hard to recommend Pixelfed to non-techies without an official mobile app on Google Play and App Store.

@ilyess @peterw @dansup The app is here, but you still have to take a small intermediate step to get the beta. But yes, not optimally solved for non-techies. However, Dan is currently busy with loops. Even if it goes slowly, it is better than if things are abandoned.
